At The Interiors Group (comprising of our Carpet Court and CurtainStudio businesses) we are committed to supporting the principles of environmental sustainability and ethical sourcing and recognise that a sustainable environment is central to our lives and our work.
 
Our aim is to:

• Improve the environmental sustainability of The Interiors Group
• Implement environmental actions within the company
• Monitor the environmental actions and improvements internally
• Communicate environmental initiatives internally and externally (where relevant)
 
We respect our relationship with the natural environment and its ecosystems. We also acknowledge the adverse impacts that human activity can impose and take actions to prevent the degradation of those natural systems.
 
To support our approach, we are committed to the following principles and practices:

• Monitoring and managing our environmental performance and working towards targets set to reduce adverse impacts
• Complying with relevant New Zealand environmental policy, practices, regulations and legislation, and industry-specific legislation
• Reducing the consumption of natural resources in daily operations, including water, paper and energy
• Maximising the recycling of resources
• Disposing of waste appropriately
• Committing to the principles of preventing pollution to the environment and continual improvement
• Minimising pollution by taking steps to limit harmful emissions resulting from vehicle and air travel
• Encouraging suppliers to meet high standards of environmental performance
• Improving the performance of product to reduce negative impacts on the environment, our people, our customers, and stakeholders

Recycled Fabrics - Bespoke Range

CurtainStudio are pleased to introduce a range of fabrics within our Bespoke custom range that is made incorporating recycled plastic bottles or recycled polyester industrial yarn (PI).  Our supplier has worked with leading yarn suppliers who have accredited supply sources. In each case the recycling of solid polyester waste products prevents their disposal to land fill and offers considerable energy saving benefits.
